Alera Group is looking for a Personal Lines Account Manager for a hybrid position based from our office in Plains, Montana. We are seeking highly motivated colleagues who bring experience and enthusiasm to our team – joining us may be the perfect fit for you!

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for personal‑lines customers—handling billing questions, policy changes, quote requests, claim processing, and detailed product guidance, then routing to sales agents for new or upgraded coverage.
  • Collect and input customer data accurately into the agency management system; verify records, upload mail and documents, and post incoming checks to the correct trust accounts.
  • Manage policy renewals by reviewing accounts 30–60 days in advance, re‑shopping coverage when advantageous, and coordinating with carriers to secure optimal terms.
  • Process personal‑lines claims from first notice through payment, ensuring timely, accurate settlements and clear communication with clients, agents, and adjusters.
  • Collaborate with agents, underwriters, and other internal departments to resolve complex account, billing, and underwriting issues for both personal and commercial lines.
  • Support commercial‑lines staff by answering client inquiries, assisting with billing issues, and producing certificates of insurance as needed.
  • Work on‑site two to three days per week, maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of agency workflows and compliance requirements while ensuring all customer interactions are documented promptly and correctly.

Salary range is $45K to 55K per year.
