Job Summary

The Red Hat OpenShift Infrastructure Security and Compliance (ISC) Engineering team is looking for a Quality Engineer to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will work on Red Hat's Compliance Operator, File Integrity Operator and Security Profiles Operator, built on container technology and the Kubernetes cluster management system. You'll be responsible for all aspects of quality for these operators, including designing test plans, extending automation frameworks, and developing new automated tests. You will make sure that our solutions fulfill the highest possible levels of enterprise quality, performance, usability, and supportability. As a Quality Engineer , you will gain a deep technical understanding of a variety of popular technologies, including containers, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, etc. You will be a part of Red Hat’s culture that makes us unique in the Industry, a culture enriched with Open Management Practices, Open Decision Framework, and diversity and inclusion. What you will do

  • Execute manual and automated tests for OpenShift and deliver clear status in a timely manner.
  • Conduct failure analysis, explore, identify and document new bugs, advocate for the resolution of bugs and communicate the impact on customers to developers and support;
  • Coordinate cross components teams to be responsible for bug verification, regression testing.
  • Work with the product release related teams to be responsible for the product delivery related testing;
  • Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks, CI and scripts with Golang for OpenShift testing and implementation

What you will bring

  • Passion, curiosity, and desire for testing and examining how things work
  • Motivated and capable of learning and adapting to new technologies quickly
  • Experience with Linux-based operating systems
  • Experience in Kubernetes or OpenShift
  • Experience with an object-oriented programming language like Python, Golang, or Ruby
  • Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines; willingness to accept challenges
  • Available to work 5 days per week
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
