Duties include:
1. Administer all aspects of 6 week course
2. Hold weekly office hours for student engagement
3. Attend weekly SAMS faculty meetings
4. Attend the Summer Instructor orientation and inclusive excellence teaching professional development
5. Attend the SAMS Academic Symposium, Auguts 1, 2025
Supervising Manager: Monica Colbert
Instructor(s) needed:
Math: Graph & Theory Combinatrics, Functions, Algebra & Number Theory, Calculus, Matrix & Probability and Social Math,
Science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering
Project: exploration of one or more foundational concepts in STEM and culminating in academic group project to be presented at the closing academic SAMS Symposium on August 1, 2025
Presentation Skills: cover topics in public speaking, presentation preparation and presenting
Writing: covering general topics in composition, this course is designed to assist students in the creation of their college admissions essays. This role also serves as the facilitator of the SAMS virtual Jump Start program preceeding SAMS.
Jump Start Orientation: Offer confidence building and team building skills and instruction
