Summary

As a Senior Product Manager, Compliance at Kipu, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution of high-impact product initiatives within our compliance management platform for behavioral health. You will serve as the connective tissue between design, engineering, operations, and commercial teams—delivering solutions that are loved by users and aligned with strategic goals. You’ll lead discovery, guide development, and shape launches that drive measurable value for providers and patients.

What You'll Do

Strategic Ownership:

  • Set and own the vision, roadmap, and priorities for the Kipu Compliance product.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative insights to define problems, evaluate solutions, and measure outcomes.
  • Drive product strategy that aligns with Kipu’s growth, innovation, and clinical impact goals.

Cross-functional Leadership:

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, data science, and go-to-market teams to define, build, and launch high-value features.
  • Lead discovery and research efforts to understand customer needs and validate product opportunities.
  • Ensure transparency, alignment, and shared accountability across stakeholders.

Customer Engagement:

  • Engage directly with compliance officers, clinical directors, and operations leaders at behavioral health facilities to deeply understand compliance workflows, audit pain points, and regulatory challenges.
  • Participate in advisory councils, focus groups, and executive business reviews to gather feedback and influence adoption.

Execution Excellence:

  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and delivery plans.
  • Lead backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and release planning sessions.
  • Proactively manage trade-offs and escalate blockers to ensure successful delivery.

Market & Outcome Focus:

  • Conduct competitive analysis, monitor industry trends, and assess emerging innovations.
  • Define success metrics and use data to continuously refine and improve product performance.
  • Support pricing, packaging, and partnership decisions to enhance market fit and revenue growth.

What Success Looks Like

3 Months:

  • Embedded in your product domain and partnered with key cross-functional peers.
  • Aligned roadmap and backlog in place, with validated customer problems.
  • Presented a product opportunity assessment to leadership.

6 Months:

  • Delivered a major initiative from discovery through launch with measurable outcomes.
  • Developed strong external customer relationships and internal influence.
  • Began mentoring associate PMs or contributing to product craft initiatives.

12 Months:

  • Shaped the strategic direction of a product line and influenced company-level priorities.
  • Demonstrated ROI impact through customer outcomes and business KPIs.
  • Recognized internally and externally as a thought leader in healthcare compliance product strategy.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in product management, ideally in SaaS or healthcare tech.
  • Experience owning product strategy and delivering complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Deep empathy for users and strong discovery skills.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across teams.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort engaging with executives and customers.
  • Ideally you are familiarity with regulatory compliance workflows or healthcare compliance (state licensure, Joint Commission, CARF, CMS, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, etc.) a plus.
  • Experience with EMR, RCM, CRM, and Compliance, or related systems is highly valuable.
