Brief Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Engineer to lead the ECAD Team of Core Global function. Also to lead the ECAD electrical system design and wiring harness development across Vertiv’s global portfolio of Power and Thermal Management products.

As a Lead Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving best practices, mentoring team members, collaborating with global stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality library components. You will also be responsible for managing complex tasks independently, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring alignment with business goals and engineering standards.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of component libraries in Creo Schematic.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and peers.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver robust library solutions.
  • Ensure high-quality, consistent, and scalable symbol and component creation.
  • Establish and enforce standards for electrical component libraries, datasets, and templates.
  • Support project planning, task estimation, and resource coordination within the team.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Creo Schematic and Creo Cabling workflows.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline library development processes.
  • Monitor and report project/task progress as per defined communication plans.
  • Assist in integration and export of data between Creo Schematic and Creo Parametric.

Qualifications:

Required/ Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical system design with strong exposure to Creo Schematic and Cabling.
  • Proven expertise in developing and managing electrical libraries and wiring harness components.
  • In-depth knowledge of symbols, blocks, ports, draft groups, and member maps.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design principles, wire sizing, and selection.
  • Hands-on experience with Creo Parametric and Creo Mechanical CAD tools.
  • Exposure to global collaboration tools and PLM systems.
  • Familiarity with global engineering processes, standards, and documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, planning, and project coordination skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proactive attitude and passion for learning, innovation, and driving results.
