  • FTE Status: Full-Time 1.00 FTE (40 hours/week)
  • Work Schedule: Day's Monday-Friday

Job Description:

Responsible for identifying opportunities or problems, process improvements and other system changes to enhance revenue cycle performance. The role will have ongoing interactions with clinical leadership, revenue cycle staff, Finance and IT teams and will work closely with revenue cycle departments to ensure that clinical departments are informed regarding regulatory changes that will affect charging processes. This position is essential in collaborating with clinical areas on charge reconciliation.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare related preferred. Equivalent and relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree

Certification/Registration/Licensure: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Coding Specialist – Physician Based (CCS-P) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC).

Epic Certifications: within 18 months. Preferred EPIC Certifications in both HB and PB and Healthcare Revenue Integrity (CHRI).

Experience: 5-7 years in healthcare, 3-5 with clinic/hospital billing systems required. 3-5 years with Epic clinic/hospital billing systems and project management experience preferred.
