Position Summary
The University of Memphis, School of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) is seeking applicants for a full-time, non-tenure-track, 12-month, program coordinator to lead the growing ASL and Deaf Studies program. Currently, the program has a Bachelor of Arts degree, a minor in ASL and Deaf Studies, and a language sequence that counts toward a world language requirement. Language courses are also offered for dual enrollment with local high schools. The program coordinator provides vision for the unit, reports to the Dean of the School of CSD, and serves as the program representative on School and University committees.
Qualified candidates should be both fluent in ASL and able to communicate in English and have expertise in curriculum and program development, program management and outcome measurement. Individuals who are proficient in spoken English are encouraged to apply. The coordinator will be expected to teach.
