We’re seeking an Assistant Manager, Social Media to help us expand our digital footprint and oversee our social communications efforts targeting home growth locals, new HK-ers and MCV.

He/She will work closely with the Senior Manager, Social Media to develop and implement informed content strategies tailored to the strengths of various social media platforms to increase brand awareness and affinity. In doing so, the Assistant Manager will maximise customer social engagement with Prudential’s brand strengths, products, events and services.

For candidates with more experience will be considered as Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Campaign Development Support: Assist the Senior Manger to develop social media campaigns and year-round social exposures in owned platforms. He/She will implement these activities to meet with the company's goals and objectives with minimum supervisions.
  • Content Creation and Management: Create engaging and relevant content for social media platforms targeting locals, new HK-ers and MCV, including text, images, videos, and other media formats. Manage content calendars and ensure consistent posting schedules.
  • Social Media Advertising Support: Assist in the planning and execution of paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms. Monitor campaign performance, optimize ads, and track key metrics.
  • Community Management: Engage with the online community, respond to comments and messages, and address customer inquiries or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Social Media Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor social media channels for brand mentions, trends, and industry insights. Conduct regular analysis of social media performance using analytics tools and provide reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as Marketing, Corporate Communications, Channels and Products, to align social media efforts with broader marketing strategies. Collaborate with influencers, partners, and agencies as needed.
  • Stay Updated on Trends: Keep abreast of the latest social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices. Identify opportunities for innovation and growth in the social media space.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in social media management, preferably from financial institutions or advertising agencies.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute social media campaigns aligned with business goals. Strong understanding of target audience, brand positioning, and messaging.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and influencers.
  • Adaptability and Agility: Capacity to navigate a fast-paced and dynamic social media landscape. Flexibility to adapt strategies and tactics based on changing trends and platform algorithms.
  • Brand Management: Understanding of brand voice, guidelines, and reputation management in the social media sphere.
  • Proficient in using mic social media management tools, analytics platforms, and content creation tools
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Social Media Platforms: Proficiency in major social media platforms targeting locals, new HK-ers and Mainland Chinese Visitors and their respective advertising tools. Familiarity with emerging platforms and trends is a plus.
  • Content Creation Skills: Proficiency in creating engaging and visually appealing content for social media platforms.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse social media metrics, identify trends, and derive actionable insights. Familiarity with social media analytics tools (e.g., Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, Xiaohongshu sentiment index) is beneficial.
