The Department of Soil and Crop Sciences mission is focused on education, research, and outreach to contribute to solving the state, national, regional and global food production challenges issues and soil ecosystems services. Our faculty and staff apply research-based solutions to benefit Colorado and the world. We offer academic programs to prepare students to address national and global crop production, sustainability, and environmental quality challenges such as waste management, water quality, soil health, and reclamation of drastically disturbed lands. There are numerous opportunities for students to be involved in cutting edge research related to food production and ecosystem services and land protection.

Position Summary

The department accepts applications on an ongoing basis from individuals who are interested in obtaining research positions within the department. The open position may be a temporary, special, or regular Research Associate (Level I or II) assignment and may be for limited time periods. This is an open pool, and applications will be forwarded to open positions as they become available.

Required Job Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent specialized experience and/or training. Additional required qualifications, rank and salary determined by specific position to be filled.

Level I is an entry-level position for individuals with a bachelor’s degree or commensurate specialized experience and/or training and less than 3 years of professional experience.

Level II includes individuals with an RAI + 3 years experience or bachelor’s degree + 3 years of professional experience, or a Master’s degree.
