Kettering Health Main Campus

Responsibilities & Requirements

Essential Functions

Performs diagnostic PET procedures using positron emitting radionuclides and through operating sensitive

radiation detection equipment (PET or PET/CT scanner

This individual performs PET or hybrid PET/CT scanning procedures in the Positron Emission Tomography

section for the Kettering Health Network.

Knowledge of nuclear medicine and PET, basic healthcare leadership, KH policies and procedures.

Management and supervision of daily operations, technology used in NM and PET. Regulatory/compliance for

RAM, IAC and ACHC

Technical mentorship of staff in alignment with hospital KRAs, manage busy daily schedules and provide

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

Associates Degree required

Bachelors Degree preferred

Minimum Work Experience

Minimum of 5 years nuclear medicine/PET experience

Required Licenses

Other

Requires a registered or certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the American Registry of Radiological

Technologists, ARRT(N) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).

Ohio license to practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Requires technologist to have successfully passed the NMTCB-PET exam and remain certified in PET specialty

by retaking exam every 7 years based on the requirements set forth by the NMTCB Specialty Board.
