Position Responsibilities
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead the go-to-market strategy for our GovCon software solutions. This individual contributor role is ideal for a seasoned product marketer with deep knowledge of the government contracting (GovCon) industry and a passion for translating complex solutions into compelling value propositions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Own and execute the GTM strategy for your assigned GovCon solution, aligning with product management, sales, and customer success teams.
- Messaging & Positioning: Develop differentiated messaging and positioning that resonates with government contractors and clearly articulates our value.
- Sales Enablement: Create and deliver sales tools, pitch decks, and training to empower our sales teams.
- Content Creation: Develop compelling content for webinars, presentations, and digital campaigns that drive awareness and demand.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to inform product strategy and marketing plans.
- Pricing & Packaging: Collaborate with product and finance teams to define pricing and packaging strategies that align with customer needs and market dynamics.
- Industry Evangelism: Represent Deltek at industry events, webinars, and customer forums as a subject matter expert and thought leader.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with product management, demand generation, and customer success to ensure alignment and execution.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in B2B software, SaaS experience is a plus
- Deep understanding of the GovCon industry, preferably including the A&D manufacturing vertical and/or the contract pricing and estimating proposal process.
- Proven experience in developing and executing GTM strategies for product launches and version releases, including messaging/positioning, sales collateral, and organizational enablement materials.
- Very strong written and presentation and communication skills, with experience delivering content to both internal and external audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct market research, stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience collaborating closely with the product management team to align product marketing strategies with major feature launches and customer needs.
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work in a matrixed organization (with product management, corporate and demand marketing, and sales) with positive influence.
- Desire to continue to learn and develop skills as a product marketer.
- Understand how to leverage GenAI tools to gain efficiency in everyday product marketing tasks.
- Preferred: Prior people management experience or team leadership in a product marketing capacity.
