Communication and Program Coordinator

Location: Medford, Oregon

Full-Time | $50,000/year + Benefits + 401(k)

About the Role

The Chamber is currently seeking a Communication and Program Coordinator to join the team! Reporting to the President & CEO, this role is responsible for supporting the organization’s publications, marketing, digital presence, and event coordination. You’ll play a key role in promoting The Chamber’s mission, programs, and events, while working collaboratively with staff, vendors, and community stakeholders.

This is a dynamic, hands-on position ideal for a skilled communicator with a passion for community engagement, strategic marketing, and administrative coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Publications & Communications

  • Manage the editorial calendar and production of The Business Review (11 issues/year)
  • Write, curate, and edit articles and newsletter content
  • Oversee weekly newsletter production and distribution
  • Draft and edit official Chamber communications
  • Maintain and update website content and related materials

Programs & Events

  • Coordinate logistics for Chamber programs and events (Annual Meeting, Awards Banquet, etc.)
  • Liaise with sponsors and internal teams to ensure smooth event execution
  • Prepare promotional materials and post-event content for The Business Review
  • Support Chamber action teams by organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining compliance with bylaws

Website & Social Media

  • Develop and manage content calendars for social media and web platforms
  • Execute marketing campaigns across digital channels
  • Produce monthly performance reports for review by the President & CEO

Marketing & General Support

  • Assist in developing Chamber marketing plans
  • Coordinate with vendors to produce event collateral
  • Provide administrative support as needed to Chamber leadership

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a communications, marketing, or events-focused role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and CMS
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and juggle multiple priorities

Physical Requirements

  • Light local and air travel as needed
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. (displays/supplies)
  • Must be able to sit (60%), stand (20%), and walk (20%) throughout the workday
  • Comfortable walking up and down stairs
