Pay Range: $34.98 - $58.77 per hour

The pay range for each role reflects Rush’s anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.
Summary:
The RN 2 is a competent nurse who has mastered technical skills. The RN 2 identifies patterns of patient responses and can use past experiences to implement solutions for current situations. The RN 2 continues to consult with other members of the heal care team when the need for assistance is identified. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Other information:
1. Minimum of 9 months of experience in nursing
2. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) (with acceptance into an accredited school of nursing prior to hire).
3. RNs hired prior to 10/22/2020 are grandfathered in with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or diploma in nursing, with no further need to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BAN or BSN).
4. Chief Nursing Officer must provide approval for any RNs with ADN degree hired after 10/22/2020, based upon unit need. ADN RNs hired after 10/22/2020 must show continued enrolment towards a BSN degree with a signature of contract stipulating a BSN degree must be completed within 3 years of hire. ADN RNS are not eligible for leveling to RN3.
5. Prior to leveling to RN2, RN must show consistent proficient performance at RN1 position or equivalent experience.
6. Current state of Illinois Registered Nursing License 7 required within 3 months of hire
8. ACLS for ICU, Telemetry, 6west, Endoscopy, PACU, IR, and ED required within 3 months of hire

10. Proficiency in charge and preceptor roles.
