We are seeking a new team player to fill our Shipping coordinator position available at our Lavergne TN, location Benefit Package Offered: Employee offered standard company benefit package to include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, accidental death benefits, and eligibility to participate in a safe harbor 401(k) plan.

Position Summary

Provide routing information and issue shipping instructions to ensure delivery of products on time and to their correct location. Track goods in route to their destination ensuring any problems that may arise are resolved to avoid delays.

Position Description

• Prepare bills of lading through SAP shipping system to ensure accuracy and best possible routing
• Attach all certifications, matrixes, samples, and any other items required by shop or customer orders
• Call and insure prompt pick-up/delivery schedules through truck lines per routing (sales, customer, and supervisor)
• Inspect/Insure proper items loaded on trucks (check tags to bills before bills are signed).
• Ensure trucks are loaded per loading instructions
• Check all files/orders/customer sequence for possible loads/late orders and notify shipping supervisor
• Ensure complete shipments, oldest items first
• Ensure accuracy of documentation, paperwork, shipments, competitive rates, inventory turn, and on-time shipments
• Account for all material and paperwork flow to office
• Control flow of carriers to meet shipping requirements
• Communicate non-compliance problems to supervisor and/or shift lead

Approval

The Executive Team (CEO, Controller, Chief Marketing and Merchandising Officer, VP of Operations, Human Resources) will be involved in all hires. Team determines need, Human Resources will facilitate the process and select candidates, Controller will verify budget for the position. The position’s direct manager will also be part of the interviewing and decision making process as well as a possible peer.

Position Requirements

• Ability to prepare shipping paperwork, inspect shipments, and dispatch freight to ensure accurate and on time delivery to customers
• Ability to multitask, time manage and prioritize
• Ability to use SAP shipping system
• Ability to comply with safety rules and requirements

Work Environment: Must stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day or longer in overtime situations. Must be able to lift heavy product or raw materials up to 100 pounds multiple times per hour (heavy loads must be team-lifted). Work is performed in a sometimes hot, cod, humid, noisy, industrial environment, and around dust, oil, grease chemicals, and other substances.

Location: Lavergne TN

Position Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30-4:00pm or as business needs
