Job Summary:
Good experience on Database Development and programming, primarily responsible for design, program, develop and implement database systems
Ability to diagnose problems and triage/resolve issues across various tiers (application, network, database, server, or storage tiers)
Good understanding with hands-on experience to Install, configure standalone and HA envs, database migrations from lower to higher versions, Database Backup & Recovery and Performance Tuning
Analyze, solve, and prepare RCA for production outages. Debug and troubleshoot database system failures and provide solutions quickly
Implementation experience on database maintenance plans, including rebuilding/reorganizing indexes, integrity checks and improve database performance, slow running queries / processing
Work with Cloud Engineering teams to develop the enterprise internal & external cloud strategic vision that satisfies CDK's business objectives, strategy and long-term growth plan
Coordinate with Architecture, Operations, Storage, Networking and Software Development teams to develop a highly-extensible cloud service environment that can be adopted and integrated in a wide range of scenarios through API’s
Participate in cloud based services planning, design and implementation, particularly in monitoring and management of systems that may live outside the organization, including third-party cloud service providers
Develop new systems by following established SDLC processes and procedures with limited or no supervision.
Responsibilities:
Create, Maintain and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, functions, and triggers and Refactor slow queries using best practices
Design, develop, and deploy SSIS packages for ETL processes.
Analyze data integration requirements and develop efficient data pipelines.
Monitor and troubleshoot SSIS package execution and database performance issues.
Collaborate with end users and other developers to understand data needs.
Implement and maintain data warehousing solutions.
Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with internal standards.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8+ years of development experience with SQL Server and SSIS.
2+ years of C#, .Net, or Java development experience.
Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and database design.
Ability to write and troubleshoot T-SQL scripts and stored procedures
Hands-on experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Demonstrate an ability to work in a team environment.
Familiarity with other ETL tools is a plus (e.g., Azure Data Factory).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SSRS).
