Our Finance team plays an essential role in maintaining a healthy balance sheet at AIG. It delivers significant finance support for the overall enterprise, optimizing operations, controllership, funding, and capital structure to honor our stakeholder commitments. The team’s work is invaluable to informing leadership decision making, complying with regulatory requirements, and maintaining financial discipline, transparency, and controls, while providing timely and meaningful information.

This role provides accounting and financial reporting on a GAAP and Statutory basis of accounting and is a significant contributor to a team that is responsible for financial close, analyzing and reporting the results.

How you will create an impact:

  • Prepare quarterly Statutory Financial Statements.
  • Review GAAP and Statutory Financial Statements.
  • Submit statutory financial reports.
  • Lead coordination and provide supporting documentation to the Company's independent auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and statutory reporting guidelines.
  • Interact with various areas within the organization to ensure timely and accurate reporting and disclosures.
  • Complete projects as assigned.
  • Support the Finance Department as assigned.
  • Perform any other related task required and participate in other projects, as required.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • B.B.A. degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • CPA and/or public accounting experience is a plus.
  • This role is for seasoned candidates with experience in the job-related tasks and within Insurance and/or Financial Services industry.
  • Possess analytical and practical problem solving skills with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a positive attitude with the ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate and interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to multi task with a variety of systems and processes.
  • Language skills: fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
