The Technical Lead and Architect will provide technical leadership and support technical teams to deliver consulting and managed services projects to a wide range of customers locally in Australia and New Zealand as a key member of our Architecture, Platform and Technology Practice. This role includes billable, business development, and relationship management activities.
Job Description
- Lead technical teams to deliver low-risk projects / work packages;
- Develop complex Technical Architecture Solutions to meet client requirements;
- Be the authoritative source and lead customers through technical engagements through leading the solution design and implementation aspects of InfraTech projects / work packages;
- Accountable for the quality and the deliverables of the technical team;
- Work with the Project Manager to contribute to project planning and estimation within customer constraints;
- Provide governance and oversight across projects / work packages;
- Financial, risk and issue management for low risk projects/work packages;
- Provide coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members;
- Acts as the trusted advisor and build strong and profitable relationships with customers, including meeting customers on-site;
- Recommend proactive steps for efficiencies and continual service improvement for our managed services customers;
- Identify Growth Opportunities and collaborate with Account Leadership, DXC Sales & Solution teams to progress those opportunities;
- Optimise, finetune, fit for purpose our managed services operations while applying knowledge of customer’s business
- Work with our presales team and contribute to the development of proposals to meet customer requirements, including responding to tenders;
- Conduct solution planning & delivery aligning business goals with technology solutions to drive customer improvements;
- Shaping/solutioning opportunities in a pre-sales capacity by demonstrating knowledge and Industry expertise;
- Provide input into the development of Statement of Works pricing cases and project schedules;
- Lead and facilitate workshops with customers onsite or via MS Teams to articulate the value proposition of the product/solution;
Qualifications
- Excellent technical design skills across database, Engineered Systems, Infrastructure and Cloud (preferably OCI, AWS and Azure)
- Strong technical background
- Strong experience in designing and migrating workloads and databases to OCI, especially large work packages
- Demonstrated experience in supporting complex Oracle database and applications integrations
- Experience presenting and delivering appropriate technical / product solutions
- Experience working successfully with management teams to deploy initiatives aligned to business objectives
- A proven track record of leading, coaching and motivating technical teams including working with third parties/vendors
- An ability to

- Consulting experience in providing support and implementation services with the ability to build lasting positive customer relationships, takes ownership in maintaining quality of service and recommending areas of improvement
- 15+ years of industry experience, including 2+ years in pre-sales or consulting
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred
Highly Desirable skills
- Experience managing databases on engineered systems, such as Exadata and Oracle Database Appliance (ODA)
- Experience with administering or migrating databases on/to AWS, Azure, Exadata Cloud at Customer or on PaaS environments.
- Experience with various types of Oracle applications would be highly desirable;
- Experience implementing and administering Single Sign-on and Identity Management solutions integrated with Oracle Database and Oracle Applications
- Preparing and presenting Pre-Sales solutions
- Project Management experience; managing successful projects and large-scale business initiatives
