Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, varied day time hours.

Responsible for coordinating operations within the Latacha Education Conference Center and Simulation Lab. Ensures effective operation, assesses program needs, and oversees high and medium fidelity technology. The position will serve to maintain all simulators, supplies and equipment as well as scheduling classroom opportunities. Collaborates with clinical teams to develop and execute quality simulation scenarios, aligning with learning outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

Duties #1 - 50%

  • Maintains schedule for educators and learners in the Latacha Education Center
  • Collaborates with clinical educators to develop, create, update and provide simulation scenarios to support clinical educators and learners
  • Provide routine maintenance and support for simulators and audiovisual equipment in the Latacha Education Center
  • Maintains current knowledge of simulation and education center equipment
  • Routinely inventory and stock equipment and supplies in Latacha Education Center

Duties #2 - 25%

  • Provide routine maintenance for RQI stations at Methodist Hospital, Methodist Women’s Hospital and Methodist HealthWest
  • Support the Patient Care Division leadership through other duties as assigned

Duties #3 - 10%

  • Monitor utilization of space and provide metrics on quarterly basis

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor of Education, Information Technology, or other applicable degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) years of experience teaching simulation preferred.

License/Certification:

  • Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) preferred.

Skills/Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Ability to understand and utilize advanced technical simulation and lab equipment.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong communicator with customer service skills.
  • Exceptional team building, collaborative, and communication skills.
  • Technology platform experience (Microsoft)
