Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of railroad dispatching experience on an FRA-regulated railroad, including a combination of freight, passenger, and commuter train dispatching across CTC, TWC, and DTC territories.
  • At least seven (7) years of progressive managerial experience in rail operations.
  • Proven management experience in the rail industry, including profit and loss responsibility, safety oversight, and performance accountability.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies essential for effective local, state, and national security operations to protect people, data, property, and infrastructure.
  • In-depth understanding of departmental policies, operational procedures, safety protocols, service restoration strategies, and emergency/crisis management.
  • Demonstrated experience and accountability in emergency planning, incident response, and safety management.
  • Familiarity and compliance experience with Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) regulations and standards.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
