The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of staff and the coordination of patient care services in the medical-surgical, progressive care, surgical services and emergency department settings on a shift-by-shift basis. Supervises medical-surgical, progressive care, surgical services, and emergency department staff on a shift-by-shift basis. FSLA status
Education
Associates Nursing Required.
Bachelors Nursing required with the following exceptions:
Experience
3 Years Minimum clinical experience required.
Prior supervisory experience preferred. Prior employment in more than one clinical setting also preferred.
Certification & Licensures
West Virginia Nursing License Required or eligible for licensure.
ACLS Certificate Required or eligible for certification.
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
Qualifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary for interacting with patients, employees and members of the medical staff. Must be able to readily adapt to change and exhibit an ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
