Our mission is to deliver impactful insights and advanced digital reporting solutions in a timely manner and using analytics to set new standards in the bank for how to use data. We’re the backbone for teams and organisational units across the Bank, providing crucial process performance analytics and managerial information.

Our department in the Data & Analytics function works with each of the businesses to enable the adoption of data and utilize analytics to enhance our products and services to our clients.

The workplace is located in new buildings in Vilnius. Danske Bank supports a high degree of workplace flexibility (we currently use a hybrid work model, where we work at least 3 days in the office).

You will:

  • Development: Design, develop, and manage scalable data architectures, including databases, pipelines, and ETL/ELT processes, to ensure efficient data collection, storage, and processing
  • Data Quality: Implement and recommend strategies for maintaining data quality, lineage, and reconciliation
  • Collaboration: Work closely with BI developers, data engineers, and architects to ensure alignment on solutions and strategic objectives
  • Optimisation: Improve system performance through rigorous testing, troubleshooting, and the integration of advanced technologies
  • Data Security: Guarantee compliance with security, privacy, and accuracy standards for data storage and workflows
  • Continuous Learning: Embrace emerging technologies to innovate and future-proof data solutions
  • Agile Framework: Operate within an agile framework to enhance flexibility and responsiveness

About you:

Key Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering or related roles
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for building scalable data pipelines, ETL workflows, and API integrations
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for automated testing/deployment
  • Familiarity with data modeling, design patterns, and data architecture best practices.
  • Knowledge of data ingestion methods and tools
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to troubleshoot issues and develop functional solutions
  • Upper-Intermediate English (written and verbal)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Data Platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, MS Fabric)
  • Familiarity with dbt (Data Build Tool) for transformation workflows
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their data services (e.g., Lambda, S3)
  • Understanding of data quality frameworks and testing (e.g., SQLUnit, dbt, pytest)

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 3440 EUR to 5160 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
