Investment Operations Analyst

Position Description

The Investment Operations Analyst will be responsible for providing investment operational support for the $1.8 billion endowment, as well as the $1.3 billion operational pool, at the Texas Tech University System. The role will primarily focus on duties within Cash Management, Accounting, Data Management, and Reporting, but will also include various other investment operational duties.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Reconcile capital activity and valuations to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Monitor and analyze investment data, identifying trends and resolving any discrepancies
  • Produce and maintain reports related to investment activity and performance
  • Assist with monitoring receipt of tax documents from external investment managers
  • Perform cash reconciliations
  • Assist with various operational processes, like derivative reconciliations
  • Create dashboards and reports using investment management systems, Excel, Power Query and Power BI

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the Power Suite in Microsoft including Power Query and Power BI
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with investment management systems and/or performance reporting systems such as Caissa, Fact Set IRN, and Evestment is a plus
