The Data Operations Analyst manages the flow and quality of the Small Business Financial Exchange (SBFE) database to ensure customer deliverables are satisfied.
The Data Operations Analyst collects and analyzes financial and identity data to identify and resolve anomalies within contributor files provided to D&B.
The Data Operations Analyst works closely with technical database teams to create and enhance automated data supply chain processes.
The Data Operations Analyst fulfills inquiries from key stakeholders for insight into the small business dataset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the end-to-end process by which SBFE information is transferred to D&B, including,
- Transfer and ingestion into D&B databases.
- Investigating and resolving problems by leveraging technical skills, such as SQL.
- Performing quality checks and analysis on data.
- Fulfilling internal and external queries supporting product, services, and revenue.
- Drive continuous improvements to achieve enhanced data quality and improved customer deliverables.
- Own multiple post-flow processing activities.
- Create and maintain key internal and external metrics and reports in support of database environment and audits.
- Partner with SBFE in improvement metrics related to quality.
- Participate in environment stabilization addressing new and existing process and procedures reviews using Lean/Agile Methodology to identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Handle all aspects of customer investigations, working with various internal departments and external processes within specified timeframes.
- Ability to independently create data analysis queries from scratch.
- Manage project tasks from start to finish independently in functional areas.
- Serve as a resource to other team members by assisting with project tasks and troubleshooting queries.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Education Needed:
- Bachelor’s Degree - Required
- Advanced Degree - Preferred
Skills and/or Certifications:
- 2+ years of working experience in data collection, discovery and analysis is preferred.
- Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite and SQL querying language.
- JIRA experience preferred, Python knowledge an advantage.
- Experience using Lean and Agile Methodology to either manage a technical project or drive business improvements an advantage.
- Intellectually curious and enjoy problem solving/analysis. Results-oriented and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Show an ownership mindset in everything you do; be a problem solver, be curious and be inspired to take action, be proactive, seek ways to collaborate and connect with people and teams in support of driving success.
