about the role

Roles and Responsibilities:

Network and Security Operations:

Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise network and security infrastructure, including:

Firewalls: Cisco ASA, FortiGate, Check Point, Palo Alto.

Networking Devices: Cisco Core and Access Switches, Routers, Access Points, and Wireless Controllers.

Load Balancers and DNS: F5 and Infoblox.

SASE : PA Prisma Access.

Respond to escalated incidents from L1 teams, ensuring root cause analysis and resolution within SLAs.

Conduct routine system health checks, performance tuning, and optimization of network and security devices.

Perform technical and management escalations as implied by the escalation process to ensure security tasks are progressing toward resolution and/or completion.

Providing remote support and change management assistance to our customer base on a 24x7 basis as required

Resolve service incidents by troubleshooting and solving faults reported through the Customer SNOW ticketing system.

Perform service changes by assessing risk and implementing requests reported through change management tools.

Resolve service problems by performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and designing action plans for unknown errors reported through the Problem Management Dashboard.

Perform solution releases by authorizing, validating (changes, upgrades, updates, patches, and migrations), and implementing them.

Undertake the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) function and manage communication with vendors in case of problems, patches, and maintenance.

Managing and monitoring Change and Incidents ensuring adherence to customer SLA’s

Configuration Implementation:

Implement configuration changes for all network and security infrastructure, ensuring accuracy, security, and minimal disruption to operations.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and execute approved configuration changes for:

Firewalls, switches, routers, wireless controllers, load balancers, and DNS systems.

Test, validate, and document configuration changes, adhering to change management processes.

Incident and Problem Management:

Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, providing detailed incident reports.

Participate in post-incident reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement preventive measures.

Collaborate with L3 teams for issues requiring advanced expertise.

Patch and Configuration Management:

Assist the patch managers to Implement and verify patches, upgrades, and firmware updates on network and security devices.

Ensure accurate configuration of all supported technologies, adhering to industry standards and organizational policies.

Document configuration changes and maintain up-to-date network diagrams and SOPs.

Collaboration and Vendor Coordination:

Liaise with vendors for hardware replacements, advanced troubleshooting, and system upgrades.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and initiatives.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to L1 engineers, promoting knowledge sharing within the team.

Compliance and Governance:

Ensure adherence to security policies, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Participate in audits and vulnerability assessments, addressing any findings promptly.

Maintain system and network logs for compliance and forensic purposes.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities to enhance network and security performance and reliability.

Proactively recommend and implement process improvements to optimize operational efficiency.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in network and security domains.

about you

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of hands-on experience in network and security engineering, with expertise in:

Firewalls: Cisco ASA, FortiGate, Check Point, Palo Alto.

SASE: PA Prisma Access

Networking: Cisco Switches (Core and Access), Routers, Wireless Controllers, and Access Points.

Load Balancers and DNS: F5 and Infoblox.

Strong troubleshooting skills, with a focus on resolving complex network and security issues.

Proficiency in implementing configuration changes and patches across multiple technologies.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Relevant certifications such as CCNP, Fortinet NSE, PCNSE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
