Field supervisory position responsible for the direct supervision of field installation technicians and overseeing all aspects of assigned installation projects.

Required Skills:

  • Direct supervision of Field Installation Technicians including ensuring proper training and professional appearance, driving technician productivity, and verifying daily work schedules.
  • Provide field support to Field Installation Technicians for problem resolution including investigating job site issues, consulting with applicable resources, and escalating problems to management as necessary.
  • Continually monitor the status of all assigned jobs.
  • Conduct job start previews with field installation teams as required and facilitate prompt, efficient start-up of jobs.
  • Determine necessary time and resources and ensure on-time completion of installation jobs.
  • Assist with logistical support for tools and materials.
  • Provide job status reports as requested.
  • Interface with customer regarding installation projects.
  • Ensure all jobs conform to customer and CTDI quality requirements and confirm compliance with installation checklist prior to final quality audit.
  • Schedule and conduct end-of-job walk-through meetings with customer representative as required.
  • Ensure end-of-job paperwork is properly completed and submitted per department procedures.
  • Provide technical skills development and career development to Field Installation Technicians.
  • Evaluate performance of Field Installation Technicians and provide feedback to management.
  • Enforcement of corporate and divisional policies including counseling employees when necessary.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of Field Installation Technicians assignments.
  • Attend or perform site surveys when requested by Project Engineer.
  • Assist Project Engineers with job quoting, material issues, and specifications.
  • Attend MOP meetings as required.
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and upkeep of installation vehicles.
  • Review and approve technician expense reports as required.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 months central office experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience.
  • Excellent supervisory and project management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving ability.
  • Strong follow-up ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet set deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills including the ability to organize jobs and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Ability to interpret and explain job specifications for multiple jobs.
  • Ability to communicate and deal effectively with various organizational levels.
  • Thorough understanding of customer and CTDI installation standards and practices.
  • PC skills including ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for company use
  • Must have availability for travel, both locally and nationwide.
