Transdev in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking an Operations Scheduling Manager. This position is responsible for the management of the Scheduling department. Primary responsibilities are to support the Schedulers and Trip Editors, including but not limited to, creating schedules, ensuring proper coverage, monitoring of performance and ensuring the accurate/efficient scheduling of paratransit trips. Additional work shall focus on implementing and maintaining an efficient and effective Customer Subscription process. Will coordinate with agency partners and maintain agency provider information. Responsible for creating and analyzing Operator run cuts to provide efficient and effective service.

Primary Job Functions:

• Run reports, analyses and recommend changes based on available performance indicators and system data to facilitate effective decision making as it relates to service delivery. Provide system information for current and new shift schedules for Operators for each system shift bid.
• Prepares and evaluates performance standards to ascertain efficiency levels and compliance with priority schedules; recommends changes in procedures, prepares work schedules, training materials and procedural manuals.
• Recommend and implement daily changes to schedules to maintain On-time performance and productivity requirements.
• Creates and distributes various scheduling reports, including scheduled hours and miles, system statistics route list, bus count, resource changes, etc. This includes distribution via printed reports and email.
• Performs a variety of ad-hoc reports and analysis projects, as assigned. This includes gathering organizing and summarizing schedule data, analysis of schedules, scheduling methods research, testing of parameter and rule changes, and costing of service and run cut changes
• Coordinate with sub-contractor providers on daily schedules, productivity and on-time performance of scheduled service.
• Provide Operation oversite to daily scheduling team including giving work direction and performance review.
• Review template scheduling and subscription ride service review.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Planning, Management or related field plus minimum 5 years transportation scheduling experience which includes supervisory experience in a planning/scheduling environment. An acceptable combination of education and experience may be substituted.

• Prefer working knowledge of Trapeze Scheduling Software, Microsoft products (especially Excel) or other modules for scheduling, planning and dispatching.
• Sound understanding of run time methodology and route scheduling techniques required.
• Must be detail oriented and computer literate with experience in operating a data base, word-processing software, and spreadsheet software.
• Must have the ability to work with time constraints and deal with multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must have knowledge of or the ability to learn Transdev's operating rules, procedures, routes, schedules and fare structure.
• Basic math skills required.
• Excellent proofreading, research, communication, organization and interpersonal skills required.
• Transit Operational experience essential.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and FTA required drug test.

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects up to XX pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
