TECHNICAL LEAD – JAVA FULL STACK

ABOUT THE ROLE

Thales is looking for a seasoned Technical Lead with deep hands-on experience and a passion for solving complex technical challenges. You’ll play a key role in driving the architecture, development, and delivery of secure, scalable software solutions. You’ll also mentor team members, lead design discussions, and collaborate with cross-functional and international teams.

You’ll be working on the management component of Thales-Imperva’s Cloud Web Application Firewall (CWAF) solutions — a core part of our cloud-based security platform. This system serves as the control layer for a globally distributed service, enabling organizations to manage and scale their web application security with confidence. It plays a key role in ensuring high performance, reliability, and a seamless experience for our customers across diverse environments.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Lead technical delivery within an Agile team and own end-to-end solution development.
• Design and review architecture for scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems.
• Implement and enhance functionality across both frontend and backend systems.
• Contribute hands-on to development and integration of components.
• Mentor and guide engineers on best practices, code quality, and system design.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders – PM/TPM/UX.
• Actively participate in sprint planning, estimations, and technical planning.
• Drive continuous improvement in development processes and tooling.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience with proven technical leadership.
• Strong command of full-stack development in Java-spring boot microservices and React/Angular.
• Strong expertise in microservices architecture, secure system design, design patterns, and performance optimization.
• Experienced in navigating enterprise computing environments, with expertise in the AWS ecosystem, Docker container technology, and Kubernetes orchestration
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum, and confident working in fast-paced, distributed teams.
