The Process Machine Operation prepares and packs high quality cuts of meats according to customer specifications using company standards and adhering to all safety requirements. Majority of time will be spent operating processing equipment. Grinders, Vemag, Patty Machines, Multi Vacs, etc.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (Saturday as needed)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operation of Meat Processing Equipment; CryoVac, MultiVacs, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutters, Scales,
Pack, trim and customize portions of meat products using knives, or other meat production equipment.
Count and stack on tray portions per customer and company specifications
Label portion with supplied number product labels
Set up packing and labeling area as required
Pack and palletize orders
Perform end of day functions
Actively maintain, and merchandise partial cart
Keep packing area and cutting room and surrounding area clean and sanitized.
Follow company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to maintain sanitary conditions
Work continually in a refrigerated environment 35°F- 45°F
Complete miscellaneous other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION
The incumbent is not required to provide direct supervision for any position.
RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: The incumbent is required to interact with employees at all levels of responsibility throughout the company.
External: The incumbent may be required to perform demonstration cuts or packing for tours, and sales team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Incumbent must have the ability to work in a fast paced production environment. Finish time is when work is completed and could require overtime with or without notice.
Related Experience/Requirements:
Experience with CryoVac, Vemag, MultiVac, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutter, laser portion machinery or other meat production equipment is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of beef and lamb products
Knowledge of USDA grades and standards.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $13.00 and $14.42 hr.
As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation.
