Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking an INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST to join our INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Interventional Radiologists during minimally invasive procedures such as biopsies, angiograms, stent placements, and embolizations.
  • Operate imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, and X-ray during procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging studies, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of imaging equipment and devices.
  • Administer contrast agents as required for imaging procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure details and imaging results.
  • Follow proper infection control and safety protocols at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.

This would be an excellent opportunity for a current Radiology or Imaging Technologist to add an additional role to learn additional skills!

HOURS: .001 FTE/Occasional hours to cover day shifts, as needed/available

Experience/Qualifications

  • Knowledge of radiological standards and procedures normally acquired through completion of a diploma from an approved AMA school of radiological technology, an Associate’s Degree in Radiology, or other manner to meet requirements of the ARRT and State of Wisconsin Radiographer licensure.
  • Possesses State of Wisconsin Radiographer license.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum of two years’ working full time in Diagnostic Radiology with previous experience in Cath Lab/Special Procedures
  • Possesses an in-depth knowledge of Cath Lab monitoring systems.
  • Possesses complete and thorough understanding of the operation of all equipment and patient monitors including set-up and function: EKG, invasive pressure, NIBP, SAO2, etc.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of EKG rhythm.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of both hospital and department specific computer systems.
