Who we are looking for:

ACV Auctions is seeking a self-starting individual for the role of IT Network Engineer to help manage our physical and virtual enterprise networks. The successful candidate must have extensive experience designing and maintaining large-scale networks, the ability to manage projects and tasks effectively, as well as excellent troubleshooting and incident response skills. The IT Network Engineer will be responsible for designing network architecture configurations, installing and managing network systems, migrations and integrations between networks, as well training and mentoring teammates on correct operating procedures to best meet the ever-changing needs of the company. #LI-MS1

What you will do:

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks to meet the business needs and technical objectives of the organization
  • Procuring network equipment and managing relationships with related vendors and consultants
  • Configure firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
  • Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for all physical and virtual networks throughout the organization, including upgrades, enhancements, new functionality, capacities, performance, cost effectiveness, and business integrations
  • Develop and maintain documentation of all network architecture and systems
  • Perform daily monitoring, verifying integrity and availability of systems and networks, their configuration, and performance
  • Coordinate scheduled maintenance and upgrades while minimizing down time
  • Participate in routine audits in conjunction with our Internal Audit team
  • Analyze and resolve network related incidents
  • Monitor issue resolutions and collaborate cross functionally with groups outside of IT when necessary to resolve and apply fixes
  • Maintain records on repairs, down time, and configuration changes
  • Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning and support
  • Participate in capacity planning including forecasting of needs for future IT initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field required.
  • 5 years’ related experience
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • 1 or more Network related certifications required (ECMS, CCNA, CCNP, etc)
  • Experience supporting enterprise networks with a 24/7 user base
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki strongly preferred
  • Ability to visualize and understand complex systems
  • Familiarity with ITIL standards and IT Security compliance standards and practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport and gains understanding
  • Ability to deal tactfully with persons in authority, co-workers, and members of the public
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to be empathetic, accurate, compassionate, responsive, resourceful, and conscientious
  • This role is Hybrid based in Buffalo NY and will require 20% Travel to other ACV locations

Compensation: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually. Please note that final compensation will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law. #LI-MS1
