RN Clinical Educator Full Time Days Position Summary
Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates educational activities planning for an assigned service or population.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
Develops, implements and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
Serves as a resource for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
Participates in the coordination and continuity of orientation programs, including preceptor programs.
This educator is accountable for the documentation and validation Network staff training at Training Facility. Provides curriculum development in collaboration with Clinical Education Specialists.
Participates in organizational goal setting. Participates in brainstorming activities. Provides feedback on nursing procedures.
Supports and participates in development of protocols related to practice in collaboration with other team members.
Participates in research and Quality Monitoring. Participates in the evaluation of results and impact of services.
THE RN CLINICAL EDUCATOR FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
Required: Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days.
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Certification Preferred: Per specialty
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Education, or related field.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Required: Two (2) years related experience or one (1) year supervisory.
Preferred: Three (3) years Specific area experience and one (1) year supervisory.
Preferred: Trauma and ED Experience
