The Vice President, Global Engineering will play a crucial role in understanding customer applications and requirements, thereby generating a portfolio of projects and technologies aligned with the strategic goals of the Aerospace business group. This role is also instrumental in supporting production to achieve on-time delivery.

This position reports to the VP/GM Aerospace and is part of the Aerospace Leadership team located in New Port Richey, Florida and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Responsible for Aerospace technology, new product development, design engineering, concurrent/manufacturing technical support, and customer issue resolution.
• Develop technical specifications and definition of system interfaces while participating in design reviews with a multi-functional team.
• Driver for optimizing stage gate and PPG models appropriate for Aerospace and ensuring a direct and cohesive connectivity with Operations and Business Unit priorities.
• Develop deep understanding of customer’s future platform trends for insights to develop Pall Aerospace’s Technology Roadmap
• Manages identification, evaluation, cultivation, and management of Open Innovation partners.
• Link business needs and opportunities to Danaher Business Systems and develop a roadmap to close gaps, install/improve process, and sustain results.
• Drive an engaging team culture through leading directors, managers, and engineers to achieve delivery of distinctively high-quality products and services; to include performance, reliability, cost, and on-time delivery.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of relevant engineering experience, with emphasis on support and sustainment programs OR Master’s/Doctoral degree with 11+ years of relevant experience.
• 10+ years people management experience, directly and indirectly leading organizations of 10 or more individuals
• A demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks according to established deadlines.
• Successful history of managing, leading, and developing people; able to enhance the competency and skill base of the engineering organization while simultaneously developing more coherent communications across the company.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

• Willingness to travel (international and domestic) up to 40% in support of program and business development efforts, and in support of a global staff

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Demonstrated history leading large scale aerospace and defense business capture efforts.
