As a member of the technical writing team, you will organize and prepare information for publication and develop publication concepts for the best communication of subject matter. Review technical information prepared by other staff members for clarity and content. Mentor junior memebrs in the team to be very productive. Take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures.

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communications, Business, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience relevant to a functional area.
  • 15+ years of documentation development, or related experience.
  • Good writing, analytical, and research skills
  • Exposure to Telecom domain will be an advantage
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to work with technical teams
  • Ability to administer own computer and VMs
  • Working knowledge of computer applications, current technology trends
  • Understanding of cloud concepts and technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of DITA-based documentation using XML authoring tools (Oxygen, SDL, Jarvis, DocBuilder, HTML, and XML Authoring systems, etc.)

Expectations

  • Candidates should be prepared to work intensively with engineers, support, product management and other associated teams to ensure documentation deliverables are of highest quality and available on committed timelines.
  • You will be part of a geographically distributed team responsible for the technical documentation of products in our portfolio.
  • Team members are expected to work independently, requiring discipline and excellent time management skills as well as the technical acumen to collaborate with our teams in US and Canada.
  • Team members are required to visit office some days on a weekly basis in accordance with our business unit needs.
