Associate Channel Mgr
Job Description:
The Primary functions of the Associate Channel Manager - Portfolio position are owning promotional planning strategy, timeline and tracking for specific categories; and working cross-functionally to commercialize New Product Development projects, as well as maintain a Portfolio of existing products in specific categories.
You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
- Category Responsibilities: MX FUEL™, Cutting/Nailing, Metalworking
- Ownership of the promotional strategy for the above categories, focusing on finding unique and profitable ways to hit the category’s financial targets, while maintaining parity across channels
- Creation of promotional materials relating to above categories on a quarterly basis that will be sent to and utilized by the Sales team when selling promotions to distribution
- Tracking of promotional results and communication around how programs are performing relative to forecast and how the promotional plan will pivot to ensure we’re hitting our financial goals
- Ownership of the commercial timelines and deadlines for the above categories, driving the cross-functional partners (Product, Account, Brand, Sales) to identify, develop, commercialize and implement customer-specific programs and executions
- Working with Product Team to ensure commercial timelines are being hit and deadlines are known and being met
- Assisting the Account Team with identification, development and commercialization of customer-specific plans
- Work with Product Team to create the annual commercial strategy for the above categories, focusing on what the categories’ goals are (both commercially and financially) to drive the executions that will be prioritized for the upcoming year
- Work with cross-functional partners (Supply, Demand, Finance) to manage inventory for the above categories, finding creative ways to ensure the business is hitting its financial goals
- Leadership and maintenance of certain Channel-specific processes designed to streamline communication and ensure all cross-functional partners are operating congruently
- Other Duties as assigned.
The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Marketing and/or Sales role
- Highly organized and very strong, proven project management skills
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented
- Strong, persuasive communicator, with the ability to present in front of large groups of people, sometimes up to the VP level
- Willing to learn and give / take constructive feedback, along with a desire to grow their career and understanding of Marketing
- Some general knowledge of channels of distribution required
- Proficiency in PC skills including MS Office and Internet usage is required
- Ability to travel 20% of time
