The Construction Project Manager II, will be responsible for managing different initiatives and projects; of all levels of complexity, medium to large. The Construction Project Manager II will be held responsible for the timely completion and the quality of the work produced by the project teams that they manage.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management in a critical facility construction environment
- In-depth knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and industry best practices
- Experienced in Construction procurement methodologies
- MS Office including MS Project, Excel, and Procore
- Background in leading teams
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration including vendor management.
- Working knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and industry best practices
- Experienced in Construction procurement methodologies
Project Management
- Ability to foster and work in a team environment (include both internal and external members) and develop customer focused approach to project management and problem resolution.
- Ability to draft all associated project communication with contractor, design team, departmental users; and leadership team. Ability to write monthly project summaries for each project.
- Ability to set up and conducts pre-construction, construction and post-construction meetings with internal staff and external vendors (clinical & non-clinical).
- Monitor project schedules, develop agendas, meeting schedules, project budgets, contracts and project team communications; both internally & externally.
- Processes purchase requisitions and purchase orders per Mercy Medical Center’s policies and procedures.
- Help design and implement efficient work systems and work groups, assume direct responsibility for all aspects of medium/large projects
- Maintain all required project documentation for change orders, requests for information, construction bulletins and other contract correspondence.
- Manage and control the projects overall budget, including but not limited to being able to track change order requests and contingency risk reserve assessment; ability to support the financial analysist in cash flow tracking/forecasting and grant reporting; review appropriateness of pricing for change order requests and make recommendations regarding acceptance of such.
- Maintain project logs (including RFI’s, change orders, and bulletins) and initiate follow up on unique and delayed items.
- Review project initiation and control forms for adequacy and work with submitting departments to insure satisfactory information is received.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ professional experience in construction projects.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a project management environment.
- High Proficient with Project software and methodologies.
- High proficiency with Office Software.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree with certifications in MEP disciplines.
