Position Overview
In this role, you will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support across various platforms, assisting end-users in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues. You will work in a fast-paced environment supporting 10,000-20,000 end users.
Key Responsibilities
- 80-100% phone support, troubleshooting IT-related issues across Windows, Mac, and Linux environments.
- Provide technical support for business applications, including HR systems, procurement tools, and various enterprise applications.
- Perform network troubleshooting and backup restoration to ensure seamless system operation.
- Identify and analyze hardware, software, and network-related problems, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with IT departments to escalate and resolve complex issues, maintaining ownership of support tickets for thorough resolution.
- Use remote access tools to troubleshoot software configurations and installations.
- Install, configure, and coordinate repairs of computing devices and peripherals.
- Develop and maintain Knowledge Base content, sharing technical expertise with users and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Document support activities in the ticketing system, ensuring accurate records of user requests.
Required Qualifications
- Experience & Education:
- 2 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, OR
- 4 years of experience with an Associate’s degree.
- Must have certifications in A+, Network+, Microsoft, Dell, or Apple.
- Strong understanding of Windows 7-10, Mac, and Linux environments.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting business applications, including HR and procurement tools.
- Experience working with enterprise ticketing systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative IT team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience troubleshooting Oracle financial applications and enterprise email systems.
- Ability to analyze and implement computing solutions across a wide range of IT environments.
- Experience in developing and documenting technical procedures.
Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote.
- Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week, including 3 days per week on-site for training.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $25.00/hr.
