Job Title: Scanning Operator Level 1

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Job Type: Hourly Consultant

Hours: 8 am to 5 pm, M-F

Pay: $20/hr

Essential Functions:

• Prepare customer documents for the digital imaging process
• Check physical documents for quality issues that may complicate the scan process
• Prepare a wide array of document types and conditions for scanning
• Index scanned images according to naming mechanisms outlined by the customer and/or RDIC leadership
• Perform additional post-imaging services as required
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Physical Demands:

• Minimal to moderate physical effort required, including moving boxes and loading paper into machines
• Requires finger dexterity and movement between machines for various document types

Mental Demands:

• Problem-solving, communication (written and verbal), comprehension, and mental acuity

Skills:

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Typing speed and accuracy
• Knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
• Familiarity with MS Office and data programs
• Ability to handle and manage large volumes of documents with confidentiality
• Capable of working under deadlines and shifting priorities
• Self-initiative with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective planning, organizing, and problem-solving abilities

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service environment
• Prior experience as a Data Entry Operator or Office Clerk is an asset but not required
• Experience with administrative tasks and office software is preferred

Education:

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
