Business Manager - Commercial and Operat
We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join ABB Motion Service Denmark. In this role, you will leverage your experience in managing service contracts, service products, and traditional time and material services to further develop our service business. You will be part of a highly skilled and experienced team in an esteemed company known for being a great place to work. Your foundation will be ABB’s high-quality product range, including frequency converters, motors, generators, and mechanical solutions. Our products literally keep the wheels turning behind the scenes. This position focuses on three primary areas: Installed Base Management, Service Product Management, and Senior Commercial Sales Support. You will report to the local division manager, join the local motion service management team, and work closely with e.g. the sales manager, field service manager, and other shared functional managers and specialists. Your responsibilities will include understanding, leveling up, and enabling smooth execution of our installed base processes, which impact our medium- and short-term sales planning. This requires a focus on data integrity, process, and people. Additionally, you will localize global service products by integrating their intent with practical local applications. You will work closely with the service and sales manager to bring new service products to the market. By joining ABB, you will play a crucial role in advancing our service offerings. Your efforts will enhance Motion Service Denmark’s product offerings, drive operational improvements, and contribute in terms of measurable commercial business success. As a Business Development Manager in Motion Service Denmark, your role will include: • Installed Base Management: Understand, establish and (with administrative help) execute processes, across various Installed Base tools. To enhance our sales prioritization. • Service Product Management: Localize global service products and bring new service products to market, all the way through to realizing value capture. You do this through effective cross-organizational collaboration with multiple stakeholders. • Senior Commercial Sales Support: Own and aid more complex quote calculations, embedding risk management collaboratively with sales engineers, project managers, and business controllers. • Commercial Planning: Prioritize sales planning collaboratively with the Sales Team (minimum 0-3 months horizon). • Data Management: Secure data capture from multiple channels, data recording and -integrity, while optimizing processes and using related IT applications hands-on. Collaboration: Work closely with service and sales managers, and their teams to ensure effective implementation of service products. • Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis on multi-year outlook, to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities. Input to local division manager and sales manager for long term business planning. • Other MO or Site-specific roles and projects, as designated by local division manager motion service or Motion DK leadership. • Direct and indirect people leadership of technical, project, and commercial profiles.
You will have a fixed base in our office in either Ballerup or Middelfart, where your employees and close colleagues are also based.
