We are a financial services platform that leverages technology to offer our customers seamless and user-friendly products related to banking, loans, and investments. So whether it’s a savings account, credit cards, investment and payments, it's all on Jupiter. We also help users cut through the banking jargons, offer smart insights based on spending and provide users with a range of new age features to enable and make sense of their finances.

Our journey so far:

Jupiter was founded in 2019 by Jitendra Gupta. Best known as Citrus Pay’s founder, Jiten found himself wondering why personal finance experiences were not customer-centric when everything else like food ordering and entertainment were. That’s how our journey began in 2019, with a simple, powerful idea : to create a modern, customer-centric experience that empowers individuals when it comes to their money.

From our humble beginnings, we've strived relentlessly to make managing money easier. In 2021 when we launched we had a waitlist with over 100,000 people eager to experience the world of Jupiter - and within 10 months we crossed 1 million users. Today, we have 2.8 million + happy users on Jupiter.

Our Insights feature today tells how much and where you’ve been spending automatically, even on your other savings accounts! Our Edge CSB Bank RuPay credit card is getting a lot of love for it’s head-turning transparent design, not to mention it being a rewarding experience. Our No-Penalty SIP and Daily SIP at Rs 10/- has helped scale our investments business and we have over 100,000 users investing on our platform to fulfill their money aspirations.

Roles and responsibilities:

❖ Experience & Expertise

➢ Experience of 4-8 years in security management, with hands-on experience spanning application security, cloud security (preferably AWS), data protection, and compliance with frameworks such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, RBI SAR audits, and ISO 27001

➢ Proven success in creating and managing end-to-end security programs, integrating threat modeling, secure coding practices, and security architecture reviews throughout the product lifecycle

➢ Skilled in interpreting regulatory requirements and implementing compliant processes, while ensuring security practices stay aligned with evolving legal and regulatory standards

➢ Demonstrated experience implementing security measures in a regulated financial environment, with specific focus on RBI compliance requirements and cyber security framework

❖ Technical Skills

➢ Proficient in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Golang), with expertise in scripting, secure code review and integrating security measures within CI/CD pipelines

➢ Strong foundation in internet and network security principles, encompassing network architecture, TCP/IP protocols, and system administration

➢ Experienced in deploying, managing, and securing containerized environments, especially using Docker and associated cloud-based technologies ➢ Familiar with Terraform, capable of reviewing and improving configurations in collaboration with external providers

➢ Proficiency in security tools and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, WAF, etc.)

➢ Strong knowledge of encryption technologies and key management

❖ Compliance & Risk Management

➢ Comprehensive understanding of regulatory standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR) with a demonstrated ability to lead compliance audits, including RBI and other regulatory assessments

➢ Expertise in performing risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, evaluating controls, and executing effective remediation strategies

➢ Understanding of Indian banking regulations and RBI guidelines for fintech operations

➢ Knowledge of digital banking processes, payment systems, and financial technology infrastructure

➢ Familiarity with Indian data protection laws and privacy requirements

❖ Communication & Collaboration

➢ Strong data presentation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

➢ Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating across departments to uphold security standards and strengthen overall security posture

Resilience Under Pressure

➢ Ability to remain composed and efficient under high-stakes situations, such as security incidents or regulatory audits, and to prioritize rapid decision-making to address both immediate and long-term security needs

➢ Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple high-priority projects and incidents simultaneously, balancing day-to-day operations with strategic security initiatives

➢ Adaptability to handle tight deadlines and unexpected challenges, ensuring clear, solution-oriented communication with both team members and stakeholders

What is needed for this role:

  • Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred)

  • Certifications

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CEH, CKS, CKA, AWS Security Specialty, or other recognized credentials in cloud and application security.

  • Advanced Skills
  • Experience conducting security assessments and control evaluations in large, complex environments
  • Proficiency in Linux systems engineering, with a solid understanding of operating system security fundamentals
  • Strong background in managing Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, including incident detection, response, and remediation

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to be on-call for critical security incidents
  • Ability to prioritize multiple security initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to continuous learning to stay current with evolving security threats and technologies

  • RBI's Cyber Security Framework for financial institutions
  • Guidelines on Managing Risk in Outsourcing of Financial Services

  • Anti-money laundering (AML) and KYC compliance frameworks
