We are seeking an experienced IT Instructional Designer to join our team, specializing in HIM/Coding and Epic. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience using tools like UPerform and Camtasia to design and deliver training content that empowers healthcare professionals to effectively use technology in their daily workflow.

Full-Time 1.00 FTE (40 hours/week), Days
Works with the Training Manager to develop a training program for assigned applications. Masters an Epic application and specific workflows. Develops and implements the training program for assigned applications. Builds, tests, and maintains the training environment. Develops and maintains training materials. Trains credentialed trainers within the organization. Communicates effectively with all members of the Epic team, leadership, and the end users. Provides on-going support of Epic applications: Demonstrates conceptual understanding and proficiency in use of the Epic application as assigned; i.e. Cadence, Prelude, Resolute, etc. Accountable for user adaptation to and optimization of the application. Knowledgeable regarding related workflow in the hospital setting. Plans and leads classroom training for clinicians on Epic applications. Develops training materials (job aides) to facilitate adaptation and user understanding of functionality. Prepares and implements training support coverage schedules for new functionality go-lives. Facilitates ongoing end user adoption. Serves as a resource for staff to identify gaps in user understanding and use of Epic and develop and implement educational strategies to improve. Works independently, manages time, and prioritizes competing user demands.
Bachelor's degree in field of computer science, information system, education, or related field preferred.
Epic application certification/experience preferred. HIM/Billing/Coding experience preferred.
Three to five years of healthcare experience, fundamental understanding of related workflow of care providers, proven communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel within the organization and demonstrated leadership in change management required. A detailed understanding of workflows and system configurations, adult education experience with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, experience using Articulate products, Captivate, Rapitivity or similar authoring tools, Dreamweaver, Flash, and project management software, preferred.
Experience with administering Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred.
