The Senior Software Quality Engineer in Test (SDET) works with a team of onshore developers and Off-shore Product Manager to design and develop the best of breed software offerings for the CRM industry. The D&AI team combine their industry knowledge and Pega’s innovative technology to create products that will be used to solve business problems or inefficiencies for our customers. What You'll Do at Pega:

UI Automation:

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing and feedback.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure the quality and consistency of user interfaces.
• Playwright framework is a plus.

API Testing:

• Design and implement automated tests for RESTful APIs, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
• Validate API functionality, reliability, performance, and security.
• Use tools like Postman, JUnit, or similar frameworks to automate API testing processes.

JUnit Automation:

• Develop and maintain JUnit-based test suites for unit, integration, and regression testing.
• Ensure that all automated tests are robust, reliable, and provide accurate results.
• Work closely with developers to integrate JUnit tests into the development process.

Planning & Strategy Test:

• Develop test plans, strategies, and schedules for assigned projects.

Regression & Milestone test:

• Candidate to be able to perform regression and milestone tests for the complete features owned by the team.
• Should also be able to keep updating the regression suites and enhancing the automation of the same.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and ensure quality.

Who You Are:

You are a Senior Software Quality Engineer who is skilled in both manual and automation testing and passionate about exploring and applying the latest cutting-edge technologies to maintain high quality of the product.

• Around 4-6 years of software testing (SDET) experience.
• Agile/Scrum development methodology knowledge/experience.
• Proficiency with testing tools like Selenium, Junit with Cucumber, karate framework, Playwright, or any similar framework.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design, continuous integration, and delivery (CI/CD).
• Familiar with programming languages like Java, typescript, JS, python
• Good to have basic knowledge on tools and libraries like Git, Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, IntelliJ, JUnit, Groovy and similar.
• Exposure to Machine Learning and AI domain will be an added advantage.
• Should be able to leverage Generative AI capabilities in the role.

What You've Accomplished:

• Successfully designed and implemented comprehensive test plans and strategies, covering functional, non-functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Developed and deployed automated testing frameworks and scripts to streamline the testing process.
• Identified, documented, and tracked software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Worked closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality was built into the software from the start.
