JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for ensuring the security of our organization's information systems, networks, and data. The Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures to protect our systems from cyber threats, conducting security assessments, and responding to security incidents.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Security Infrastructure Management - Design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure to safeguard the organization's information systems and data. Deploy and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and other security tools.
  2. Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing - Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and address potential security weaknesses. Collaborate with IT Infrastructure teams to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure secure coding practices.
  3. Incident Response - Develop and implement incident response plans to effectively respond to and mitigate security incidents. Investigate security breaches and incidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.
  4. Security Policies and Procedures - Develop, update, and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote a security-conscious culture.
  5. Monitoring and Analysis - Monitor security logs and alerts to identify suspicious activities and potential security threats. Analyze security data to generate reports and insights, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  6. Security Compliance - Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards. Stay informed about the latest developments in cybersecurity and adjust security measures accordingly.

EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Education Level:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience Requirement:

  1. Proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or in a similar role.
  2. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
  3. Experience with network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  4. Proficiency in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  5. Familiarity with security frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS.
  6. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  7. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.

Successful Candidates have:

  3. Availability to respond to security incidents outside of regular business hours when necessary.
