Director of Operations
Reporting to the President, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management and execution of the organization’s manufacturing systems, with the goal of being the premier manufacturing group in the industry. The Director of Operations will oversee all areas of Operations including Planning, Scheduling, Machining, Assembly & Test departments.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall direction, management and results of departments and carries out responsibilities in accordance with goals and polices
- Identify metrics to drive the organization to maximize value solutions and on-time delivery to customers while minimizing product cost
- Lead the use of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and the use of technology to be a leader in advanced machining and engineering
- Directs efforts to minimize the cost of quality including scrap, rework, and field failures
- Effectively mange the maintenance of company assets to assure machine up-time and the ability to service customers, meet delivery requirements and perform operations in a cost-effective manner
- Interfaces with customers, vendors, subcontractors and ensures the organization is following company policies, procedures, and applicable laws
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree;ME /IE;10-15 years of related experience
- Prefer Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt & Continuous Improvement expertise
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and the use of technology to drive advanced machining and engineering
- Effectively make presentations;respond and relate to issues, opportunities, and challenges customers
- Ability to respond and relate to customers, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community
