The stated pay range is based on a national average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus-eligible.

CNO Financial Group’s 40|86 Advisors are hiring a Financial Analyst, Investments to support portfolio managers, traders, and research personnel with their investment decisions and portfolio management.

This opportunity requires a strong professional presence, proven initiative and a solid work ethic. As a member of the 40|86 team, you will be sharing and presenting to other team members and management. As a result, excellent written and verbal communications are imperative.

As an Financial Analyst, Investments your responsibilities would include:

  • Following capital markets and investment trends that impact fixed income markets and interacting with other members of the investment team
  • Developing and maintaining files and analyzing existing and prospective investments.
  • Assist business with ad hoc financial analysis that supports decision making
  • Develop and execute other key monthly and quarterly financial reports and process, reporting tools
  • Managing relationships with internal stakeholders, portfolio managers, traders, and analysts within the firm in support of investment decisions
  • Working with service providers in the reconciliation of data as well as the preparation of reports.
  • Using vendor and internal tools to generate and analyze key portfolio and investment metrics.
  • Conducting peer analysis to identify strategies and value that leads to positive performance.
  • Continuously developing skills with internal and external company supported resources.
  • Ad-hoc analysis and presentations as needed based on market conditions.

The Financial Analyst, Investments position is well suited for you if you:

  • Possess a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Knowledge of investment and financial principles and practices preferred
  • Demonstrate strong data analysis and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and collaborate vertically & horizontally in a fast-paced environment.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong professional presence.
  • Proven initiative and solid work ethic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Excel.

What will set you apart:

  • Relevant work experience.
  • Certifications or pursuit of: CFA or MBA.
  • Proficiency in working with large datasets.
  • Working knowledge of Python or a major/minor in Computer Science is helpful.

This role is affiliated to the Carmel Corporate Office, and candidates for this role need to reside within a 60-mile radius of that corporate office and will be required to come into that office. Compensation

Pay Range: $79,400.00 - $119,200.00 Annual
