About the NCCTS

The National Center for Child Traumatic Stress (NCCTS), co-located at UCLA and Duke University, leads the coordination of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN)—a federally funded initiative aimed at improving care and services for children and families affected by trauma, including abuse, violence, identity-related trauma, natural disasters, and illness. The NCTSN includes 199 academic, clinical, and community service centers nationwide, supporting evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices.

Position Summary

The Digital Project Coordinator will support the NCCTS Product Development & Communications (PD&C) team by managing digital projects and serving as a liaison to the NCCTS IT team. This role involves coordinating digital solutions, managing communications strategies, supporting virtual events, maintaining member systems, and promoting tool adoption through training and analytics. This is a non-clinical position.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Project Coordination

• Plan and manage digital projects (e.g., virtual events, conference apps, website updates, content delivery).
• Track project progress, identify risks, and provide updates to team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Data & Evaluation team to analyze and report on project metrics.

Digital Service Management

• Oversee digital services such as member management, email marketing, and virtual event hosting.
• Maintain accurate member contact information and improve data systems.
• Automate office processes and digitize workflows.
• Manage new member acquisition through email campaigns and user journey development.
• Monitor and improve member forms and user experience.
• Set up registration systems to collect audience data and measure digital reach.
• Support virtual event logistics, including speaker coordination and post-event media management.

Digital Solution Promotion

• Recommend strategies to optimize digital systems and workflows.
• Develop and distribute internal communications about new tools and their benefits.
• Organize training sessions (e.g., “Lunch & Learn” workshops) for hands-on tool use.
• Monitor staff engagement and provide leadership with adoption insights.

General Support

• Perform other duties as needed to support the PD&C team and NCCTS initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education/Training:

• A bachelor’s degree in communications, information sciences, information technology, business, marketing, or education is required.
• Applicants with degrees in psychology, social work, or public health will not be considered for this position.

Experience:

• At least 1 year of experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Digital project coordination (e.g., virtual events, website updates, content delivery)
  • Digital service or communication management (e.g., member systems, email marketing, virtual event hosting)
• OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications (Duke HR Standard)

• Education: Communication and analytical skills normally acquired through a 4-year college education.
• Experience: General knowledge of research methods, procedures, and activities normally acquired through 1 year of social science research experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Pay Range:

$43,888 – $70,300 annually, based on experience, education, internal equity, and market considerations.
