Job Description

The Quality Control Specialist reviews documentation, including records, procedures, and forms to ensure quality endpoints and compliance requirements are achieved. This role actively leads or contributes to data relevant to Quality Systems Compliance in periodic Management Review meetings. The specialist also assists Quality Management in coordinating and participating in Quality or Compliance related projects. Conducting product tests and assessments in an industrial or warehouse setting is crucial to ensure specifications are met and products function as intended.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final product/result inspections and clearances on the production floor to ensure consistency.
  • Identify product defects or potential issues and determine resolution steps.
  • Analyze lab or usability test results to identify defects and ensure they do not persist.
  • Maintain detailed records of product defects or manufacturing issues to help identify and eliminate recurring problems.
  • Notify supervisors or plant managers of issues or defect reports to aid in decision-making about manufacturing processes.
  • Support process improvements throughout testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Suggest improvements to address potential systemic problems found during quality control to ensure consistent production and error prevention.

Essential Skills

  • Documentation and laboratory skills.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree within a Scientific discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, or laboratory settings.
  • Experience in document control, chemistry, biology, data entry, SOP, and GMP.

Work Environment

The Quality Control Specialist will work in a clean and regulated environment with a friendly company culture and opportunities for permanent conversion and long-term career paths. The large lab offers many departments and areas for growth.

Training shift: Sunday – Wednesday 8 am to 6:30pm OR Training: Sunday – Thursday 10am to 6:30pm.

Regular work hours: Tuesday - Saturday 11pm to 7:30am OR Sunday – Thursday 11p to 7:30am , with flexibility required to support laboratory testing times.

The role involves working in a laboratory environment conducting quality control reviews, with no testing performed in this role. New employees will undergo a comprehensive training program, including shadowing technologists and learning computer applications, with a competency assessment conducted after three weeks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
