The role of CIB Operations covers a wide range of activities. Following the buying and selling of financial products and services by the bank, we ensure that each transaction is captured accurately and in a timely manner to ensure effective risk management, cleared, documented and confirmed, settled and reconciled, all within a tightly controlled environment in adherence with global regulatory requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities:

The Operations Expert is responsible for working with operation teams both manila & onshore locations, internal & external auditors, project teams and stakeholders. The core responsibilities of the role are:

  • Risk Identification & Assessment: Conducts regular risk reviews, ensures audit checklists are completed, and performs operational document reviews to identify and mitigate operational risks.
  • Risk Reporting & Governance: Prepares and presents risk reports, maintains an updated risk register, and tracks risk status, closure actions, and deadlines.
  • Audit Support: Acts as the primary contact for internal and external audits, coordinates audit preparations, and ensures proper closure of audit findings.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Works closely with local and onshore teams to align risk management practices with business objectives and enhance strategic risk initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifies opportunities to enhance control measures, process improvements through delivery of low-code no-code solutions, and implements risk mitigation strategies.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Good knowledge in financial operations risk identification, assessment, control testing and mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to assess complex processes, identify gaps or inefficiencies and recommended control or process improvements and high level of accuracy in reviewing documentation, control testing and issue resolution.
  • Experienced with working with diverse teams, departments and stakeholders
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits, including audit preparation, documentation and corrective actions is recommended.
  • Good knowledge or familiarity on low-code no-code tools (ie. Alteryx, Power Automate, VBA, Tableau) is recommended
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues/data simply and clearly.
