Job Description
The program coordinator will plan, coordinate, and implement activities pertaining to the HEOP Audio Lab. The HEOP Audio Lab is where program students learn audio recording and music production, which facilitates students’ academic growth, identity development, and marketable skill building. Audio Lab activities are aligned with the mission and goals of HEOP by contributing to students’ academic, personal, and professional success. The program coordinator will teach audio recording and music production to students individually and in a group setting.
Program coordinator must have significant knowledge of relevant audio recording hardware and software and contribute to the upkeep of audio recording equipment. The program coordinator will mentor students as they navigate creative decisions pertaining to genre, instrument, vocals, etc. The program coordinator will help students gain confidence in their abilities and assist students in bringing their creative ideas into fruition. The program coordinator will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, facilitate community building, and build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
