This is a great opportunity to be a part of the GDS Enablement Services (ES) Finance organization. ES Finance delivers high value finance advisory roles spanning the Financial, Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function and Controlling functions. The FP&A includes the Business Analysis & Investments (BA&I) and the Account Support sub functions. You will be a part of the Core Business Services (CBS) Finance function for the ASEAN Business Unit (BU), and this will be part of the BA&I domain.

The opportunity

As the ASEAN BU CBS BA&I Finance Supervisor, you will be a trusted business advisor supporting the Business Unit Finance leadership on varied analytical matters related to the CBS functions. This role provides analytical reviews on monthly and periodic financial numbers, insightful support to the leadership on planning cycle, forecasting, managing various ad hoc projects and business initiatives in support of the ASEAN Business Unit CBS Finance function.

Your key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and tracking the CBS costs against operational and strategic objectives as well as historical performance.
• Active involvement in the periodic allocation of costs across the ASEAN Business Unit markets.
• Prepare monthly management reports and provide cost analysis.
• Involve in synthesizing and communicating detailed financial information to business leaders; assist in identifying any potential risks which might impact the indirect costs and coordinate with the Team in providing strategic input to support effective decision making
• Perform and coordinate various budget and forecast exercises, support the translation of business projections into meaningful figures, including data processing, modeling and reporting
• Assist in month-end close process
• Execute ad-hoc analysis and data mining projects as needed by leaders

Skills and attributes for success

We are interested in people with a very positive attitude and a penchant for constant learning. As a successful candidate you will have relevant functional experience managing activities in the PBFA domain and hands-on experience on technical tools like MS Office as well as ERP applications like Peoplesoft, SAP etc.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent.
• Membership of accredited professional accounting bodies (CPA / ACCA / CIMA etc.) is desirable.
• At least 5-7 years’ experience in finance related roles (mainly Financial Planning & Analysis)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of applications (Excel, PowerApp), Data Analytics tools and SAP is an advantage.
• Ability and willingness to work in a multicultural and diverse environment and flex style as appropriate.
• Strong spoken and written English
