This position involves setting up and maintaining welding equipment, and performing TIG and/or MIG welding as per provided instructions. The role requires using fixtures or table setups with clamps or angle plates to achieve precise shapes and dimensions, working to tight tolerances, and welding in sequences that minimize warpage and distortion. Candidates may also repair or rework parts to restore required tolerances affected by manufacturing processes. In addition to welding, the role involves assisting in other areas of the plant, such as grinding, straightening, and metal finishing, to meet final product finish requirements. The position requires the use of measuring equipment to check dimensions, tolerances, and visual conditions of parts, as well as the ability to read blueprint designs for precision sheet metal drawings.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
